DOLFINO

What is the warranty period for Dolfino?
Two years from date of purchase
What is the difference between Aqua and Dolfino products?
Aqua products are designed for backyard and pool use, and are primarily manufactured with PVC frames, durable polycarbonate lenses, and rubber straps. For the more advanced snorkeling enthusiast, Dolfino offers recreational "dive" equipment made with the highest quality silicone or TPR (thermoplastic rubber), and tempered glass or polycarbonate lenses.
How do I attach my snorkel to my mask?
Your snorkel should have either a removable retainer clip or "built-in" retainer in the snorkel itself. The mask strap should thread through the retainer so that the mask and snorkel are in alignment.
Why is a Silicone mask better than a Rubber mask?
The silicone used on all Dolfino products is of the finest grade material. It is completely hypo-allergenic. Silicone is a surgical grade material that offers more flexibility, conforming to the unique shape of your face, and will always return to its original form. TPR (thermoplastic rubber) is less flexible and may not always fit certain face shapes.
Are replacement straps available?
For your convenience, The Sports Authority stores carry Dolfino straps for replacement. However, we will be happy to replace your Dolfino strap at no charge as long as your purchase is still under warranty (generally 2 years from the date of purchase). Please e-mail, mail or fax our consumer assistance department with your name, address, the item number and your dated sales receipt.
Do we make custom or prescription lenses for goggles? Do any of our Aqua or Dolfino goggles accommodate such special lenses?
No, we do not make any special lenses or inserts for our goggles at this time. However, all of our masks and goggle products can safely be used in conjunction with your own prescription contact lenses.
Can my purge valve be replaced?
No, the entire product will generally need to be replaced. If your product is still under warranty, we will be happy to send you a new one. All you need to do is contact our consumer assistance department. Please have your proof of purchase and model number available to receive your replacement.
Will the color silver on my Dolfino fins attract sharks in the water?
No, the color silver on our products will not attract sharks.
I have a mustache; will this cause my mask to leak?
If the mustache is preventing the mask from sitting flush on your face, the mask will leak. If you have a mustache or a heavy beard, it is a good idea to put Vaseline on the mustache/beard before putting the mask on. This helps to seal the area around your facial hair.
How do I prevent fogging during use?
Unless your mask is a special fog-free mask, there will be a very thin layer of silicone on the glass from the manufacturing. This thin layer causes the mask to fog easily. To remove the layer of silicone - the commonly used "trick" is to use normal toothpaste (a teaspoon amount) which is equally divided over the whole inside (also the skirt) with a gentle hand using a toothbrush. After brushing for a few minutes rinse, with water until the mask is clean. This is usually a one-time procedure, but if fog occurs later on you may have to repeat. To make sure your mask does not fog when used - always use saliva or an anti-fog liquid prior to EVERY time you use your mask. Simply rub it on the inside of the lenses and rinse with water before putting your mask on.
What is the purpose of the purge valve?
The purge valve is a means of expelling water from the mask or tube/barrel.
Is it possible to submerge the snorkel completely underwater?
No, the top of the snorkel must remain above water to enable the snorkeler to breathe.
Can my mask and snorkel be used in any kind of water - pool, fresh, and salt?
Yes, a mask and snorkel can be used in any type of water.
How do I tighten the strap on my goggles?
In order to tighten a strap on goggles, you will need to have a little slack in the strap to pull it tight. You may need a thin object, such as a letter opener, to loosen the strap. The goggles are designed this way so the straps do not loosen on their own.

SWIM SCHOOL

What is the warranty for Swim School® products?
The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase (EXCEPTION: items with inflatable parts- 180 days from the date of purchase).
What do Swim School® Levels 1-2-3 or A-B-C indicate?
SwimSchool® product line contains items for infants, toddlers, and children. Each item in the product line is specific to one of the following skill levels: Level 1 Baby Boats introduce babies ages 6-36 months to the water, and helps them overcome their fear of it. Level 2 helps children ages 18-36 months to build water confidence, allowing them to enjoy the water with their family. Level 3 helps children ages 3+ to learn and develop basic swimming skills. The products in each level have been uniquely designed to accommodate your child's specific age, weight, and skill range. Each item is only available in one level because it has been crafted with a specific purpose: to correspond to three distinct levels of swimming skills. NOTE: Double sided foam pad trainer is included in Level 2 and Level 3. While we recommend age ranges on all items, parents should use their own discretion in determining which items are best suited for their child's unique size, abilities, and safety.
Are any Swim School® items certified as Coast Guard approved Personal Floatation Devices (PFD)?
No! None of our Swim School® items are certified PFDs, and they should never be used in place of a Coast Guard approved PFD. Furthermore, they should never be used in open bodies of water or for boating excursions. Many Swim School® items provide high levels of floatation to help introduce your child to the water and provide buoyancy while they learn the fundamentals of swimming. However, none of our items are intended to be used as life preservers or life saving devices. All Swim School® items must be used under strict adult supervision at ALL TIMES!
My child is younger than the recommended age range on a particular Swim School® item. However, he or she is big for their age and/or possesses more advanced swim skills than average. Can I buy them a product in a higher level?
At Aqua Leisure, we know that each child is unique. We strongly urge each parent to use their own best judgment and discretion as to whether particular items would be appropriate for their child. Therefore, in certain instances, you may seek to put your child in a higher level product. Please use our recommendations as a helpful guide only. The final decision is that of the parent or guardian.
How much should the "Deluxe Tot Trainer" (ET-9000) be inflated?
The recommended inflation pressure is 7 PSI. Do not exceed pressure of 7.5 PSI as this can cause the inner tube to rupture.
Is the model number associated with each Aqua Leisure product important?
Yes, the model number is very important. This is a code that appears on the packaging (usually composed of 2 letters and 4 numbers). You should always save this code from the packaging, as it will serve as a reference number when seeking help or information from our consumer assistance department. You also can use a model number to locate a product on our website, or when contacting a retailer for product availability.
How do I clean my Swim School® Item?
All of our Swim School® items only need to be rinsed and hung up to dry after each use. Swim School® items are not machine washable.
How do I inflate and clean my Deluxe Tot Trainer (item # ET-9000)?
The Deluxe Tot Trainer can be inflated by using an ordinary bicycle pump. It may appear that a bicycle pump will not work because there are no threads on the tot trainer's valve stem, but when the pump is carefully placed over the valve stem, the Tot Trainer will inflate. The recommended air pressure is 7.5 psi. The Deluxe Tot Trainer only needs to be rinsed and hung up to dry after each use. The Deluxe Tot Trainer is not machine washable.
I have an inflatable Swim School® item and the valve seems to be sticking, preventing air flow into the product. Does this normally happen, and is there a way to safely open the valve without puncturing it?
On any new Aqua Leisure inflatable product, the plastic safety flap inside the inflation valve may initially "stick" to itself. Thus, the flap may need a little coaxing to get it to open for the first time. By using something soft but firm, such as a Q-tip, and applying a little pressure on the valve, the valve will stop sticking to itself and allow free air flow into the product. Never use anything sharp that could puncture it. Once the product has been inflated, re-inflating it should not be a problem in the future.
I have a Foam Pad Swim Trainer ET 9335 small/medium ET-9336 (medium/large). When and in what order should I remove the pads?
Removable pads provide buoyancy at beginner to expert levels. By carefully observing your child's proficiency in the water while wearing the Foam Pad Swim Trainer, you will be able to determine your child's progress and remove the pads accordingly. As the child's level of swimming improves, remove the foam pads one at a time to provide the appropriate level of buoyancy. Balanced buoyancy is recommended until the child has acquired competent swimming skills. This allows the child a gradual face forward horizontal position in the water. Please consult the manual for this product for complete usage details.
Does Aqua Leisure make learn to swim products for adults or handicapped children?
No, we do not make any swimming aids for adults or handicapped persons at this time.

After doing this, the blower should again function properly.

SIMPLE & STEEL-SET POOLS

Will the Liquid Blanket work in pools that are not heated?
Yes! The Liquid Solar Blanket acts just like a conventional solar blanket. It reduces the amount of evaporation and heat loss from the pool. This and similar products are compatible with all Simple Set Pools.
Do the Simple Set ladders conform to the American National Standard Institute guidelines?
Yes, all Simple Set ladders conforms the ANSI guidelines. For more information, you may visit the website at www.ansi.org.
My pool cover has holes towards the middle, is this normal?
Yes, the Simple Set pool covers are manufactured with holes in order to prevent too much rainwater from pooling on top. NOTE: The holes are smaller than the size of a dime.
Does Aqua-Leisure make solar covers?
We do manufacture solar covers as an accessory. A solar cover can provide a safe and economical way to warm your pool anywhere from a few to several degrees depending on the availability of direct sunlight exposure in your yard. Please check with the retailer from whom you purchased your pool for availability.
What Simple-Set pool accessories are available and where can they be purchased?
Filter pumps, covers, ground cloths, ladders, maintenance kits, chlorinators and thermometers are among the accessories currently available for purchase. You can visit online merchants such as www.etoys.com ; www.nextpower.com ; and www.qualityinflatables.com for a wide selection of genuine Simple-Set accessories.
If a small tear or hole develops in my pools vinyl liner, can it be repaired?
Yes, make sure that the surrounding surface area is very dry and apply a standard patch kit for heavy-duty vinyl. Place the patch on the inside of the pool so as to use the pool's own water pressure to hold the patch in place.
My pool is leaking and I can't find a hole. Is there any tip for locating it?
To determine where your pool is leaking air or water, we recommend that you apply a soapy sponge to the area where you suspect the leak is located. Look for telltale bubbles to appear at the location of the leak, and be sure to check along the collar and the seams of the product. Once you have found the leak, thoroughly dry the area and apply a patch from the repair kit enclosed with your pool.
Will excessive exposure to sunlight damage any of the materials in the pool?
Yes, over time too much direct exposure to UV rays can slightly degrade any vinyl based product. To lessen the long term risk to your pool, you should cover your pool when it is not in use.
Does my Simple-Set pool carry a factory warranty?
Yes, all Simple-Set pools and related accessories (except the filter-pump) carry a warranty of six months from the date of purchase. The filter-pump and its related hardware carry a warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase. Please be aware that all warranties are valid only for the original owner and require the submission of an original sales receipt. Therefore, please keep your sales receipt in a safe and accessible place.
Why should I not use sand during setup process?
We do not recommend using sand because it is granular and thus has a tendency to shift under the weight of the pool water. This will cause instability and could in rare instances even cause the pool to collapse. Aqua Leisure cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage to pools due to the use of sand in the set-up process.
Can I apply a patch when the pool has water in it?
No, unless the water level is below the point of the leak. The surface to be patched must be completely dry in order for the patch to be applied.
There's sand at the bottom of my pool and my vacuum has not been able to remove it? Is it defective?
No, the vacuum is not designed to remove tiny granular particles. In order to prevent excessive sand or dirt from entering the pool, you should keep a water basin or bucket by the ladder in order for occupants to rinse dirt off their feet/bodies before swimming.
Can I have my pool filled by a water truck or delivery service?
It is always best to fill up with a garden hose under low pressure, and smooth out any wrinkles in the liner after filling the pool with an inch of water. If necessary to use a delivery service, first fill the pool with one inch of water using a garden hose and smooth out any wrinkles before adding water from delivery. Be sure to use a delivery service that is able to regulate water pressure to a very low level to prevent any possible seam/liner damage. Aqua Leisure cannot and will not be held responsible for damage to pools filled by water delivery services.
Can I use an extension cord for my pool's pump?
The pump cord is about 25 feet long. We strongly discourage the use of an extension cord for safety reasons (shock hazard, tripping etc.). If you are a homeowner and plan to use the pool for multiple seasons, then we would recommend having an electrician run a GFCI extension underground, from your house and have a weather protected outlet box surface near your chosen set-up site.
Is it safe to jump or dive into the pool off of a ladder or any other type of platform?
NO! Under no circumstances should anybody jump or dive into the pool. No Simple-Set pools are deep enough to accommodate such activity, and serious injury or even death can result from failure to follow this rule.
Is it safe to lean over, lie down on, or sit on top of the pools inflatable top ring?
No. Do not allow any pool occupants (even small children) to lean over, lie down on or sit on top of the pools inflatable ring. This can cause instability in the pool wall or cause water to flood over the side of the pool. Furthermore, make sure that pets are kept away from the pool and ring.
Do I need to keep safety & rescue equipment on hand near my pool area?
You should ALWAYS have standard safety equipment on hand, either in the immediate pool area or nearby. Recommended items include (but are not limited to): An approved ring buoy with reinforced rope, a standard first aid kit, a blunt ended, metal or hard plastic rescue pole.
Is it safe for my pets to play in or around the pool?
No! Dogs, cats, and all other household pets should be kept away from the pool and the area surrounding the pool at all times. This is both to protect the safety of your pet (they can become trapped inside the pool) and to prevent structural damage to your pool (i.e. no risk of punctures in sidewalls and inflatable ring from pet claws and teeth).
Is there a weight limit on Simple-Set pool ladders?
Yes, the weight limit is 300 pounds. Also, for safety reasons, we recommend that only one person use the ladder at a time, and that each swimmer ascends the ladder slowly and attentively.
Should I store my pool during the off-season?
Yes! If you live in an area where the pool will not be in use year-round, you should store the pool as soon as your swimming season ends, and well in advance of sustained cold or inclement weather. It is not advisable to leave the pool exposed to prolonged temperatures of 38'F (3'C) or below, as this can permanently damage the material in your pool. Pools should be stored indoors in a dry, well heated, well ventilated location. Also, please do not fold your pool too compactly, as the resulting sharp corners of each fold may cause permanent creases or cracks in the vinyl sidewalls.
Does Aqua Leisure still offer the Simple Set Pool?
No, this product line has been discontinued. Occasionally, one of our retail partners may have carryover stock on these items. We still support those products that are still covered by the original manufacturer's warranty.

I have a SA-3242 Baby Adjustable Sunshade Boat, SA-3546 Baby Hideaway Pool, or an SA-3243 Adjustable Sunshade Wave Rider. How should I attach the shade to the rest of the items?
First, attach the shade to the base (boat) when both pieces are still deflated. Once you have securely attached the shade to the base, you may proceed to inflate the shade, and then the base.
I have a Canopy Sun Lounge. How do I attach the canopy to the lounge?
The ends of the plugs have been designed to be soft enough to squeeze together to ease them into the holes, but not so soft that they will slip out after the plugs are inserted. The ends of the plugs as they come out of the hole should flare slightly to prevent the plug from sliding back out. To get the plugs out of the holes, you should pinch the ends and pull them back out on their own. When properly in place, the fit should be very tight. When the 4 plugs are installed properly, the two pieces will be kept together. They should not come apart until you are ready to manually separate them.

How long can I run the blower on my Holiday Inflatable?
For best results, do not run your Holiday Inflatable for more than 8 hours at a time.
If I unplug the blower, will my Airformz character deflate?
Yes, the blower must be on in order to fill the item with a continuous flow of air. Once the blower base is unplugged, the lights will shut off and the item will deflate. Please note that there is no power switch on the blower.
If my Airformz is not inflating properly, what should I do?
Be sure the collar located at the bottom (or side) of the inflatable is tightly attached. Also, carefully listen to the air fan to ensure that it is operating normally.
The lights in my inflatable are all at the bottom, what should I do?
The light strand must be tied to the ribbon at the top of the inflatable to keep it secured. If the light strand should become dislodged, carefully remove the character shell from the blower and then find the top of the light strand. Once located, make sure that the cord with the lights is tied securely to the loop at the top of the character. Note: Most inflatables include three lights per strand, although some models may have longer strands with more lights.
Where is the fuse located?
The fuse is located in a fuse bay that is built into the plug on the electrical cord. The fuse is secured in the compartment by a tiny sliding "door". To open and close the fuse bay door, it may be helpful to you use small tweezers, a coin, or other dull tool.
Can I leave the inflatable outside during inclement weather?
For best results, we do not recommend leaving your inflatable outside during inclement weather as it is not designed to be 100% weatherproof.
What type of bulb is used in Airformz Holiday inflatables?
Airformz inflatables use a 7 watt candelabra bulb. This is a very common type of bulb that is often used in night-lights, chandeliers, and other small appliances. It can be found in most stores that carry light bulbs.

Is there a weight limit for Uncle Bob's products?
With regard to the weight limit, our tubes are not rated for specific weight standard. These tubes are primarily designed for children, but they can be used by anybody.
