Yes, the blower most be on in order to fill the item with a continuous flow of air. Once the blower base is unplugged, the lights will shut off and the item will deflate. Please note that there is no power switch on the blower.
Be sure the collar located at the bottom (or side) of the inflatable is tightly attached. Also, carefully listen to the air fan to ensure that it is operating normally.
The light strand must be tied to the ribbon at the top of the inflatable to keep it secured. If the light strand should become dislodged, carefully remove the character shell from the blower and then find the top of the light strand. Once located, make sure that the cord with the lights is tied securely to the loop at the top of the character. Note: Most inflatables include three lights per strand, although some models may have longer strands with more lights.
The fuse is located in a fuse bay that is built into the plug on the electrical cord. The fuse is secured in the compartment by a tiny sliding "door". To open and close the fuse bay door, it may be helpful to you use a small tweezers, coin, or other dull tool.
For best results, we do not recommend leaving your inflatable outside during inclement weather as it is not designed to be 100% weatherproof.
